- Why is home important for us? What’s the difference between the terms “home” and “house”?
- Describe the place you live at.
- Discuss the household chores in your family. What do you think about being rewarded for doing them?
- Compare housing in Britain and Slovakia. (types of houses, equipment)
- Express your opinion on children leaving the family home at the age of 19/20? Will you stay at home with your parents when you are adult?

b) Living in towns and villages (pros and cons)
- Compare living in the countryside with living in a town. Which do you prefer? Give reasons.

Composition (180 – 200 words)
What would your dream house be like? Write a composition describing your dream house. Include the details of the place, the type of dwelling, its size and some furniture you would like to have there. Give arguments for your choice.
Letter of complaint (100 – 120 words)
You are a tenant in a council flat. Your gas cooker has been broken for two weeks. You have complained but nobody has come to repair it. Write a letter of complaint of the Gas Board.
