          - Compare the importance of reading books in the past and now.

          - Books accompany people from their childhood. What kind of books do people read throughout their lives?

          - Books are expensive today – do you agree/disagree?

          - The Lord of the Rings were made into successful movie. Which is better – reading a book or watching a movie? Explain.

          - Why is reading books on decline nowadays?

           

          b) My favourite writer and genres

          - What is your attitude to books?

          - What is your favourite writer? Speak about his life and work.

          - What sort of books do you like reading? Why?

          - How do you choose the books you read?

          - What books would you recommend for children in our country? Give reasons.

           

          c) The life and work of an English speaking writer

          - Choose a representative of the English or American literature and speak about his life and work. (e. g. E. A. Poe: Maelstrom, W. Shakespeare: Hamlet, O. Wilde: The Picture of Dorian Gray, A. C. Doyle: short stories, or any other author)

          An Article (150 -180 words)
